How this works
College Career Pathways Compass is a guided conversation, not a quiz. It asks about your major, interests, strengths, and constraints one question at a time, then uses your answers to build and score real career, internship, and graduate-school pathways.
- Discovery. A short back-and-forth — one question at a time — about your college, major, interests, strengths, and constraints. Skip anything you'd rather not answer.
- Pathway map. Compass proposes 10–20 real pathways connected to your major, grouped into clusters (direct employment, grad school, public sector, nonprofit, research, and more).
- Narrowing. More one-at-a-time questions about what appeals to you and what doesn't, used to cut the list down.
- Fit Compass scoring. Use the radar tool on the right to score any pathway against eight weighted factors — interests, strengths, values, pay, lifestyle, and more — and compare pathways side by side.
- Shortlist & report. When you're ready, generate a PDF with your top pathways, the risks, and concrete next steps to test them — courses, internships, informational interviews.
What you walk away with: a ranked shortlist of pathways worth testing, not a single predicted career — plus a downloadable report you can revisit or share with an advisor.

Report Readiness
A complete report needs at least two pathways with confirmed scores. Three usually creates a stronger comparison; the first report is limited to five. Generation usually takes about two minutes and shows section-by-section progress.
